  • Depression and low mood

  • Attention and focus difficulties (ADHD)

  • Mood changes or mood instability

  • Trauma-related symptoms

  • Sleep concerns

  • Obsessive or intrusive thoughts

What is a psychiatric evaluation?

A psychiatric evaluation is a comprehensive assessment that helps understand symptoms, concerns, and personal history in order to guide appropriate treatment decisions.

How long does the evaluation take?

Most evaluations last 45–60 minutes, depending on your needs and the complexity of symptoms.

What should I bring?

Any past medical records, a list of medications, and notes about your symptoms or concerns. These help us form a complete picture.

Will I receive a diagnosis right away?

In most cases, yes. If more information or labs are needed, we’ll explain the next steps clearly.

Is medication always recommended?

No. Medication is not always recommended. Treatment options are discussed collaboratively and based on individual needs and preferences.

Do you see children and teens?

Care is provided for adults. Please contact the office if you have questions about age eligibility.

What happens after the evaluation?

You’ll receive a personalized plan with clear next steps, which may include follow-up visits, medication options, or referrals if needed.
